A ceremony was held in Hanoi on August 10 to officially launch the e-book titled “Vietnam in the Ho Chi Minh Era - A Television History”.
Overview of the event The event was attended by Politburo member and permanent member of the Secretariat Vo Van Thuong, and Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communications and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia. The 90-volume e-book was compiled from the massive television documentary series of the same name which was broadcasted in 2021. At the ceremony, member of the PCC and Editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh, who is also Deputy Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communications and Education and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, said the documentary series systematically and fully reflected the development of the Vietnamese revolution, notably in the Ho Chi Minh era - the most brilliant in the nation’s history. The publication of the e-book series aims to increase the spread of the documentary film in educational history and revolutionary tradition among the whole society, notably in the education system. For his part, journalist Thuan Huu, former Head of the Steering Committee for the documentary film project, expressed his hope that the e-book will be valuable in practice, especially in teaching and learning history. According to Pham Minh Tuan, Director of the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House, with a coherent structure, diverse information, and vivid images and clips, the book can be used as a useful reference and learning material. The e-book is officially released at http://bienniensuvietnam.vn.
