Information of the doctoral thesis: Promoting the human factor in the economic development of tourism in the Lao People's Democratic Republic today

Scientific instructors: Assoc. Prof, Dr. Vu Hong Son and Dr. Le Hong Phong. Training Institution: Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. New academic and theoretical contributions, the thesis has contributed to clarifying the theoretical basis of promoting the human factor in the economic development of tourism in the Lao People's Democratic Republic. In which, the thesis has contributed three main academic and theoretical contents. Firstly, the thesis has clarified the concept of the human factor and the content of promoting the human factor in the economic development of tourism in the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Secondly, the thesis has analyzed the role of the human factors in tourism economic development in the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Thirdly, the thesis has demonstrated the basic factors determining the promotion of human factor in the economic development of tourism in the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Regarding the new points drawn from research and survey result, the project has been implemented and has achieved a number of main research and survey results, which are: Firstly, the thesis has surveyed, synthesized and evaluated the current situation of tourist attraction, the contributions of the tourism economy to the economy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in the past period as well as clarifying the characteristics of the tourism economic development in the Lao People's Democratic Republic in the current period. Secondly, the thesis has contributed to analyzing the current situation of promoting the human factor in tourism economic development in the Lao People's Democratic Republic over the past time (from 2011 to present). Thereby showing the issue of training and fostering human resources, using human factors and creating an appropriate environment for human factors to operate in tourism economic development in the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The past period has been focused and achieved many achievements, but besides that, there are still some limitations that need to be overcome in the coming time. Thirdly, in order to promote the human factor in the economic development of tourism in the Lao People's Democratic Republic in the coming time, it is necessary to synchronously implement a number of key solutions such as raising awareness; improve the effectiveness of training and retraining; create an appropriate environment, effectively and rationally use the human factor and raise the sense of self-training and self-study.
