The doctoral thesis: The development of Vietnamese young entrepreneurs in integration circumstances of PhD candidate Ngo Van Cuong, major in Development Economics, training course: K31 (2015-2018).
Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quoc Ly. Training Institution: Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. Regarding new contributions for academic and theories of the thesis, firstly, the dissertation contributes to the contemporarily theoretical knowledge on the development of Vietnames young entrepreneurs in international integration circumstances. The contribution addresses a gap in the knowledge that is not solved yet; Secondly, the dissertation contributes to the current theoretical stocks on the development of Vietnamese young entrepreneurs by using a new definition about them based on their age. Accordingly, the theoretical framework of the dissertation includes the definition of young entrepreneurs, their particular characteristics and their roles on the socio-economics life of a nation which is on the path to become a middle-income nation in the world likely Vietnam. Regarding new findings and main results of the thesis, firstly, the dissertation serves an empirical research on the developing of Vietnamese young entrepreneurs based on the empirical analysis using survey data conducted by a reputable international organization. The empirical findings of the dissertation provide a strong evidence on the roles of the development of Vietnamese young entrepreneurs on the socio-economics of Vietnam in general and their life particularly; Secondly, the dissertation presents a comprehensive and systematic state of the development of Vietnamese young entrepreneurs in several years through three angles: (i) quantity; (ii) quality; and (iii) organization. Additionally, the dissertation also provides an empirical analysis of the contribution of young entrepreneurs on the economic development of Vietnam through the lens of income, providing jobs for labors, contribution to government budget, social welfare, and so on; Thirdly, based on empirical results, the dissertation proposes the comprehensive solutins for further development of Vietnamese young entrepreneurs in the coming years.
