Abstract: The article analyzes the US positioning and strategy towards China over the past decade, from President Barack Obama to Donald Trump and now Joe Biden, corresponding to his time in office. Xi Jinping in China (2012-2022). The article shows that the President's position has changed markedly, from seeing China as a "potential partner" under President Barack Obama, to a "revisionist power" and a “war competitor” under President Donald Trump, the “sole competitor” under President Joe Biden, has made the strategy and handling of relations with China also different.
